Who We Teach
Adult / Professional
Our professional students have performed on stages around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Broadway, and on television. We also teach many active singers in the Gainesville pop and rock music scene, and you can see many of our students performing at venues around North Central Florida when not on tour. We also have many recreational singers in our studio who just want to improve their voice and have an artistic outlet.
Teenager
Our student Elizabeth, who now attends the Manhattan School of Music on scholarship.
Our students have performed at the Hippodrome, Star Center Theatre, High Springs Playhouse, and the UF Performing Arts Center. They routinely receive the highest marks in adjudication and competition. We help our students prepare for events such as Florida Thespians, Junior Thespians, and N.A.T.S. competitions.
Studio Instructors begin with students as young as 8. Studio instructors are all highly qualified and trained by Lori and Cooper to prepare them for future advancement in both their musical careers, and in the studio.
Youth
Our staff educatates children as young as 8 in the basics of vocal technique to prepare them for a wondeful singing journey. We also offer piano and theory training so that our studnets are well rounded musicians. It is well known that musical training helps students not only in music, but also in and other subjects and character development. All of our youth teachers have extensive vocal training, as well as experience in teaching younger musicians to hone their skills. Youth students will also receive priority placement when they are ready to advance to the studio of a senior instructor.
College preparation
We have a special focus on preparing students for classical voice and musical theatre auditions at conservatories and universities. Our students have been accepted and received scholarships to prestigious institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Israel Academy of Music, the University of Florida School of Music, Florida State School of Music, Interlochen Arts Academy, and the Tanglewood Music Institute, amongst many others.

GVS teachers teach students how to use their voice in any style. From Broadway belting, to classical bel canto, to pop, we can help you utilize your voice to sing the style you want to perform.
