Hailed by the New York Times for her “beautiful tone and a graceful sense of phrasing,” dramatic soprano Lori Guilbeau has sung on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall. Among her numerous awards and accolades are the Grand Prize of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the George London/ Leonie Rysanek Award from the George London Foundation, and first prize in the Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition.

Lori Guilbeau and Cooper Nolan have been performing and teaching professionally for over 10 years. They teach students just beginning their musical journey, all the way to professionals making major debuts all over the world.
Both Lori and Cooper have Masters in Vocal Performance degrees from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Lori received her Bacherlors degree in Vocal Performance from MSM, while Cooper earned his Bachelors in Music Education at the University of Florida.
They currently teach students from Columbia, Tel Aviv, New York, Germany, and many other places around the world. Most recently they helped students excel at Summer Opera Tel Aviv.
Tenor Cooper Nolan, praised for his “bright, shining, tenor” (Musical America) and his “powerhouse voice” (Opera News), is increasingly making a name for himself as an important interpreter of some of opera's most demanding tenor roles.
Cooper made his Carnegie Hall debut in Elgar’s The Kingdom with the American Symphony Orchestra, He has sung at major opera houses such as Frankfurt Oper and Santa Fe Opera. In his recent Pique Dame at Theatre Aachen. BRF Nachrichten said "The singing was on a very remarkable level on the premiere evening. The tenor Cooper Nolan masters the demanding role of Hermann vocally with flying colors."

Lori and Cooper teach all levels of adults. From amateurs looking to steal the show at karaoke, to professionals preparing a role for the Opera or Broadway stage. We also specialize in helping high school and college students prepare to audition for the next step of their musical education.
We teach the basics of a healthy singing and speaking voice to children 12+. We focus on students preparing for the next steps of their vocal progress, whether it be upcoming performances, or college / conservatory auditions.
While Lori and Cooper have focused on opera and classical for their performing careers, they teach students how to use their voice in any style. From Broadway belting, to classical bel canto, to pop, we can help you use YOUR voice to sing the style you want to perform.

Cancellations must be made by 8pm the night before the lesson. Lessons can be moved online in case of sickness. Lessons cancelled after the notification deadline will be charged a fee of $20. No call/no shows (or cancellations within 2 hours of lesson) are charged a full lesson.
We teach in our home studio, located in Southwest Gainesville. Equipped with a grand piano and high ceilings, it is the perfect place to grow your voice to its maximum potential.
We have been teaching online for years, not just during the pandemic. Online teaching is an invaluable tool to keep us in touch with our professional students looking for a tune up before a show, or with our beginners just starting out. We use Skype, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, or WhatsApp.
